RescueQR is committed to protecting your privacy. We built this service to help keep families safe — not to collect or sell your data. This policy explains clearly what we collect and why.

1. Information We Collect

• Name, email address, and phone number (for account creation)
• Vehicle information (make, model, year, color, license plate)
• Emergency contact names and phone numbers
• Medical information — blood type, allergies, medications (completely optional)

2. How We Use Your Information

• To notify your emergency contacts when your QR code is scanned
• To display your emergency information on the scan page
• To maintain and improve the RescueQR service

3. GPS Location — Important

RescueQR does NOT track your location at any time. GPS coordinates are only captured at the moment a first responder scans your QR code, and only if their device grants location permission. This location is included in the emergency SMS and is NOT stored permanently on our servers.

4. What We Never Do

• We never sell your data to third parties
• We never track your driving behavior or movements
• We never share your information with advertisers
• We never use your data for marketing without your consent

5. Medical Information

Medical information is completely optional. If provided, it is stored securely and only accessible through your unique QR scan link. We treat your medical information with the highest level of confidentiality.

6. Data Security

Your data is protected with HTTPS encryption, stored on secure AWS servers in the United States, and accessible only to authorized systems. We follow industry best practices for data security.

7. Your Rights

• Access your personal data at any time through the app
• Update or correct your information
• Request full deletion of your account and all associated data
